Benefits of a Workplace Relations membership of the Chamber

 Workplace Relations members of the Chamber have access to a specialist Workplace Relations team that provides business specific services focused solely on the needs of the employer. Services include Industrial Relations,  Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Industry Awards, Individual Workplace Agreements and Collective Agreements.

 

Workplace Relations members receive: 

  • Free, prompt and accurate advice by phone or email on award and wage matters - the Workplace Relations Hotline provides prompt and accurate advice on Award conditions and wages in the ACT, NSW, and the Federal jurisdiction in relation to the Workplace Relations Act 1996 and the Fair Work Act 2009;
  • One free copy of the award most relevant to the staff you employ;
  • Award updates and wage bulletin service – to update your designated free Award – we look out for the changes and notify you immediately so you don’t have to worry whether you are paying the correct rate of pay to your staff – we guarantee that you will know;
  • Free Workplace Relations Fact Sheets on a wide range of topics including Workplace Agreements, Unfair Dismissal, problem employees, performance management issues, summary dismissal, how to deal with theft by an employee, OH&S checklists and much more;
  • Access to expert and tailored services as part of the Chamber’s Workplace Relations Fee for Service support for WR members. The Chamber’s Workplace Relations Team provides advice on the full range of employment, workplace relations and human resource management issues on a fee for service basis in the interests of protecting, representing and furthering the interests of Chamber members. All fees for WR members are discounted - guaranteed at least 50% minimum discount on our non-member rates;
  • Access to efficient representation for employers in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC) –particularly in relation to claims of unfair dismissal, industrial disputes and award variations and also representation in other jurisdictions in relation to alleged breaches of legislation, discrimination matters and underpayment of wages. The same discounted fee structure applies to this service for WR members.
